Pat Cook
Ceramic teddy bear artist

Pat has always enjoyed watercolour painting and many other arts and crafts.  She then decided to take pottery classes and found that she had a talent for making small ceramic animals and flowers, enjoying the detailing that goes into each one. She started making teddy bears as keepsakes for her grand children when they were born and now has seven!!  Every one of her little bears is unique and and each commission is an individual creation.

Carol Douglas
Art clay silver design

Art Clay Silver is an exciting material developed in Japan in 1991.

It is a mixture of an organic binder, water and  extremely tiny particles of pure silver. When heated using a gas stove, creme brulee torch or kiln the binder burns away and the metal sinters to become 99.9% pure silver, which can be hallmarked.

This is an amazing, almost magical material which is easy to use. It is completely safe, non toxic and can be molded, rolled, piped cut, carved and shaped to create pieces of jewellery in only a fraction of the time it would take using conventional and traditional methods.

Come and try out this fabulous material where the only limitation is your imagination.

Taster experiences and courses available.

In the studio at Bear It In Mind we offer a range of different craft sessions for children of all ages.

We aim to achieve a relaxed and friendly environment and we try not to put time constraints on our budding artists. However we do ask for consideration towards any families waiting during busier times.

Crafts on offer include beadwork, mosaic, wool and textile, printing, plaster mould/tile decorating and also seasonal crafts where appropriate.

The studio is also available to hire for birthday parties or other similar occasions.

The cost to hire varies depending on which day of the week you require and the length of time it would be needed. Please contact us with your specific requirements.

We can also provide a craft/activity for each child and food if requested.
