All our work is carried out on-site and in full view of visitors.  We are happy to encourage interest in the techniques and methods of our profession and to demonstrate and discuss individual cases when requested.

We offer a full restoration service for all teddy bears and other soft bodied toys from cleaning and repair through to replacement joints and eyes.  We do not discriminate against age or value but do require a proper viewing of the patient to fairly assess needs.
(Please contact us to discuss options.)

NB:  We are happy to discuss the care of larger collections where required.

Bartie Bristle is our own design and is only available to purchase here.  He comes in a variety of sizes and styles including an annual edition and special issues.  Bartie is quite unique and very much the centre of attention here at Bear It In Mind.

We are excited to announce that our business will be moving to new premises from the beginning of January.

Due to the success of our restoration work, we need to focus our attention on the growing number of patients we receive. Our 'pop-up' clinics continue to be very popular and our move will enable us to add more dates and venues to our diary. The new premises will be a studio only and visitors will be by appointment but you will still be able to purchase Bartie Bristle products via our online shop and at Molly's Den in Winchester.

It is with some sadness that we have parted with dear Sanderson who has stood faithfully in our window since the beginning some 8 years ago. He has been a main character in our Bartie Bristle books, donned a carrot and snow blanket to be our snowman and dressed as a shepherd for our nativity. He has also worn his red nose with pride for Comic Relief and joined in the romantic mood of Valentine's Day.  We will not have the room to take him with us when we move so we decided that we would offer him to the highest bidder before we close.

There had been many requests from visitors keen to own him and, up until now, we have always said 'no he lives here.' All bids were kept private and some of the proceeds went to charities of our choice.

We are pleased to announce that Sanderson has found a new loving home where we know he will be very happy!

Pop-up Clinics

Bring your teddy bear along for free advice on identification, age or ‘clinical’ needs.  Some treatments such as eye replacements and claw stitching will be available for a small charge on the day.  Other more complex repairs and restorations can be taken back to the studio workshop to be carried out. Demonstrations of traditional bear making techniques throughout the day.

Free.  Small charge for repairs carried out on the day.
