All our work is carried out on-site and in full view of visitors. We are happy to encourage interest in the techniques and methods of our profession and to demonstrate and discuss individual cases when requested.
We offer a
full restoration service for all teddy bears
and other soft bodied toys from cleaning and repair through to replacement joints and eyes. We do not discriminate against age or value but do require a proper viewing of the patient to fairly assess needs.
(Please contact us to discuss options.)
NB: We are happy to discuss the care of larger collections where required.
Bartie Bristle is our own design and is only available to purchase here. He comes in a variety of sizes and styles including an annual edition and special issues. Bartie is quite unique and very much the centre of attention here at Bear It In Mind.
BIG CHANGES AHEAD
We are excited to announce that our business will be moving to new premises from the beginning of January.
Due to the success of our restoration work, we need to focus our attention on the growing number of patients we receive. Our 'pop-up' clinics continue to be very popular and our move will enable us to add more dates and venues to our diary. The new premises will be a studio only and visitors will be by appointment but you will still be able to purchase Bartie Bristle products via our online shop and at Molly's Den in Winchester.
It is with some sadness that we will have to part with dear Sanderson who has stood faithfully in our window since the beginning some 8 years ago. He has been a main character in our Bartie Bristle books, donned a carrot and snow blanket to be our snowman and dressed as a shepherd for our nativity. He has also worn his red nose with pride for Comic Relief and joined in the romantic mood of Valentine's Day. We will not have the room to take him with us when we move so have decided that we will offer him to the highest bidder before we close.
There have been many requests from visitors keen to own him and, up until now, we have always said 'no he lives here.' All bids will be kept private and some of the proceeds will go to charities of our choice.
If you wish to place a bid in our silent auction for Sanderson, then please either email us at email@example.com or send us a PRIVATE message via Facebook. Alternatively there will be a box at Bear It In Mind where you can come and post your bid. Please only bid if you are serious as Sanderson is a VERY big bear and you will be responsible for collecting him if you win.
We will announce the winner on Saturday 29th November after the Beaulieu Victorian Christmas Evening. Bidding will remain open until 8pm on that date. Good Luck to you all - we hope to find Sanderson his very special new home!
